Senegal’s Minister of Sports, Djirèye Clotilde Coly, has officially joined Kiiraay – Les Patriotes Républicains, the new political party launched by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, as a founding member. Coly praised the President's initiative, describing Kiiraay as a platform focused on responsible action and civic values. She stated her decision to join stems from a desire to contribute her experience to national development through public service and to participate in key decision-making processes. Coly emphasized the importance of peaceful and constructive nation-building, rejecting violence and extremism. She extended an invitation to all Senegalese citizens who support the country’s progress, particularly those who invested in the March 2023 transition, to join the party. Aligning with Kiiraay's slogan, "La Patrie d'abord" (The Homeland First), Coly envisions a sovereign, just, and prosperous Senegal.
