Sakhir Diouf, 25, was fatally stabbed Wednesday morning in Wakhinane-Nimzatt, Senegal, sparking a swift police investigation. The victim, also known as Saher Faye and a father to a five-year-old child with Marème Nar, had recently completed a prison sentence. Police quickly located and apprehended B. Niang, nicknamed “Mbaye Délégué,” as the prime suspect. The tragedy has deeply affected Diouf’s family, still mourning the 2023 stabbing death of a nephew during Easter festivities, with the perpetrator of that crime remaining at large. Diouf’s body was returned to his family and buried in Touba following a release to his parents in Baye Laye. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder, which involved a deep chest wound and multiple arm lacerations.
