The Senegal national football team will not play their CAN 2027 qualifier against Mozambique in Dakar, Senegal, as initially planned. The match, originally scheduled for September 25th at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio, has been relocated to Maputo, Mozambique, at the request of the Fédération Sénégalaise de Football (FSF). This decision stems from the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium's unavailability due to preparations for the Youth Olympic Games. This is the latest in a series of organizational problems since Abdoulaye Fall became president of the FSF in August 2025. The Lions will now have to wait until the 5th matchday to play the Mambas on Senegalese soil, disappointing local fans. Previous issues with ticketing, accreditation, and seating arrangements during the South Sudan match and subsequent changes announced before the Mauritania match highlight ongoing concerns regarding the FSF’s ability to effectively manage match logistics.
