Senegal is forecast to experience cloudy skies and thunderstorms across several regions starting Friday afternoon and continuing overnight into Saturday. The national meteorological agency, Anacim, predicts moderate rainfall accompanying the storms, particularly in the southeast regions of Kédougou, Kolda, and Tambacounda, with the precipitation expected to spread to the Casamance area including Sédhiou, Ziguinchor, and Cap Skirring. Central regions like Kaffrine, Koungheul, Nioro, and Kaolack may also be affected. While storms are expected, inland areas will continue to face high temperatures, ranging from 38 to 44°C. Coastal areas, including Dakar and Saint-Louis, will experience more moderate temperatures. Residents in affected areas are advised to monitor weather updates and exercise caution, especially during nighttime travel.
