Senegal’s National Agency of Civil Aviation and Meteorological Studies (ANACIM) is predicting rainfall and thunderstorms across parts of the country on Monday, August 3, 2026. The most significant risk is concentrated in the south, southeast, and central regions. Thirteen localities—including Ziguinchor, Cap Skirring, and Kolda—are expected to experience the heaviest precipitation. Tambacounda is forecast to see more moderate, isolated showers. Kaffrine, in the central region, may also see localized rainfall, while Kaolack has a low probability of rain, likely late in the day. Conversely, the north, including Dakar, Thiès, and Saint-Louis, is expected to remain generally stable with only scattered clouds.
