A 26-year-old man, Sahachart Chuaybamrung, was arrested in Phuket for allegedly attempting to hack into Royal Thai Police systems. Police state that Chuaybamrung, who only completed grade 6 education, utilized AI chatbots to learn advanced hacking skills. He reportedly aimed to delete his own outstanding arrest warrants through the cyberattack. The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) officers made the arrest at an apartment in Muang district. Authorities have not yet released details about the original warrants, but confirmed the suspect acted alone in the attempt. This case highlights the growing accessibility of sophisticated hacking tools through readily available AI technology.
