Negotiations between the Norwegian airline SAS and unions Fellesforbundet and Parat have stalled, raising the threat of a strike. Members of both unions rejected a proposed collective bargaining agreement for cabin crew. Fellesforbundet has announced it will strike from Saturday morning with 468 members participating. Parat is prepared to strike with 175 cabin crew, 40 of whom will join the strike starting Saturday. Currently, the parties are meeting with a state mediator (Riksmekleren) to discuss the situation, but preparations for industrial action are underway.
