A volunteer paramedic, Marco Pusceddu, was murdered in Buddusò, Sardinia, after a planned hit commissioned by his ex-girlfriend and her current partner. Maria Cristina Falchi, 57, and Ramon Pirosu, 45, allegedly paid two men, Bronzo Amhetovic, 42, and Dejane Adzovic, 26, approximately 15,000 euros to kill Pusceddu. The pair previously attempted to murder Pusceddu on April 28, 2025, in Flumentepido, Carbonia, severely injuring him with a pickaxe. The second, successful attack occurred on August 7, 2025, at the Intervol 118 association headquarters where Pusceddu was on duty. The shooter entered the premises and shot Pusceddu at close range, resulting in immediate death despite rescue attempts. All four individuals are currently in custody following a police operation.
