Sarajevo will be the focal point for interfaith dialogue this week, hosting the General Assembly of the United Religions Initiative (URI). The six-day event, running from June 12th to 17th, brings together leaders and representatives from over 25 countries. The URI is the world’s largest network focused on interreligious cooperation, peacebuilding, and preventing violence. Participants will engage in discussions and collaborative efforts aimed at fostering understanding and peaceful coexistence. The assembly will focus on the organization’s global leadership and network members. This gathering underscores Sarajevo’s role as a bridge between cultures and religions, particularly given its own history of multi-ethnic coexistence. The event is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts in conflict prevention and resolution worldwide.
