Experts from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) are participating in a disaster response simulation in Nacala, Mozambique, focusing on cyclones and floods. The exercise aims to test the region’s effectiveness in handling large-scale emergencies. This simulation specifically evaluates regional mechanisms for early warning, coordination, and response to high-impact disasters. The goal is to identify strengths and weaknesses in the current system and improve regional preparedness. By simulating a real-world event, participants can practice collaboration and refine procedures.
