A Russian drone strike has struck and damaged a cargo ship owned by Turkish interests while it was traveling towards Ukraine, Ukrainian officials reported Monday. The vessel, flying under a Panama flag but identified as Turkish-owned, caught fire as a result of the attack. Tragically, one crew member, a 58-year-old Egyptian national, was killed in the incident. The Ukrainian navy confirmed the attack and identified the ship as the Victress. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba provided details regarding the victim’s nationality and age.
