Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine, deploying 149 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including Shahed drones. Ukrainian air defence systems successfully intercepted and neutralized 128 of the drones, according to Ukrainian reports. The attack encompassed various regions of Ukraine, prompting air raid alerts across the country. While the majority of the drones were destroyed or jammed, authorities are assessing any potential damage caused by the remaining UAVs. This represents one of the largest drone attacks since the start of the conflict. The incident highlights the continued reliance on drone warfare tactics by Russian forces and the effectiveness of Ukraine’s air defence capabilities.
