Romania’s National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) is introducing two free applications designed to aid businesses in preparing their tax filings. The apps will focus on verifying data reported in the D406 SAF-T (Fiscal Control Standard File) and D300 VAT returns before submission. This initiative aims to streamline the tax declaration process and reduce errors for taxpayers. The tools will be available for a testing period spanning from September 2024 to November 2026, allowing users to familiarize themselves with the systems. ANAF hopes these digital tools will promote greater accuracy and efficiency in tax reporting. This move signals a broader push towards digitalization within the Romanian fiscal system. Businesses are encouraged to utilize the applications during the testing phase to ensure smooth compliance.
