Romania’s national railway company, CFR Călători, has reintroduced daily direct train services for the summer season. These routes connect Bucharest with destinations in Turkey, specifically Istanbul, and in Bulgaria, including Sofia and Varna. Ticket prices for these international routes begin at 27 euros. The resumption of services aims to facilitate travel between the countries during the peak tourist season. This marks a return to direct rail connections that were previously suspended or limited. The initiative is expected to boost tourism and provide a convenient travel option for passengers. CFR Călători is the national railway operator responsible for the service.
