Petre Claudiu Letu, a man from Popești-Leordeni, Romania, is facing the potential loss of mobility due to severe bilateral coxarthrosis, a degenerative hip joint disease. Diagnosed two years ago, the condition has rapidly worsened, threatening to confine him to a wheelchair. The only viable solution is a double hip replacement surgery, but the procedure carries a substantial cost of nearly 10,000 euros. This article is part of a humanitarian campaign funded and published by the Ringier Romania Foundation, which supports individuals in need. Further cases supported by the foundation can be found on their website, www.ajutacopiii.ro. The foundation aims to raise funds to cover Petre’s medical expenses and restore his quality of life. His condition dramatically altered his life in recent years.
