Progress is being made on the A1 highway in Romania, specifically on the Lugoj-Deva section. According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, work on the remaining nine kilometers needed to connect Sibiu to Western Europe is accelerating. The current focus is on tunnel construction between Margina and Holdea. Officials report that the project is approximately 250 meters from a significant breakthrough, metaphorically described as reaching “the light.” This completion would represent a major milestone in connecting key regions and improving transportation infrastructure. The Secretary of State, Horațiu Cosma, shared the update via Facebook, highlighting the increasing pace of work. The project aims to provide a complete highway connection, facilitating travel and trade.
