The Superior Council of Magistracy’s prosecutors section has appointed Nicolae Andrei Solomon, currently Deputy Prosecutor General of Romania, as interim chief prosecutor of the Bucharest Tribunal. This delegation takes effect as Solomon’s term at the Prosecutor General’s Office concludes on June 28th. Marius Voineag will succeed Solomon as Deputy Prosecutor General following the transition. Notably, Solomon will receive daily allowances and paid accommodation due to maintaining his registered domicile in his parents’ village, a location he has been associated with for the past 20 years. The decision highlights a temporary leadership shift within Romania’s prosecutorial system. This arrangement ensures continuity in prosecutorial operations during the changeover. The financial provisions reflect Solomon’s existing personal circumstances.
