Romania achieved first place in the national rankings at the European Geography Olympiad held in Varna, Bulgaria. The Romanian team demonstrated exceptional skill, securing a total of five gold and three silver medals. This victory highlights the strong geographical knowledge and competitive spirit of Romanian students. Bogdan-Andrei Mateșescu-Pașcalău from Colegiul Național „C.D.Loga” Timișoara was among the gold medalists in the Junior category. The Ministry of Education announced the impressive results on Thursday evening, celebrating the students’ success on an international stage. This achievement reinforces Romania’s commitment to excellence in education and geographical studies.
