Romania is providing substantial aid to Serbia as the country struggles with widespread wildfires. A team of 69 Romanian firefighters from nine counties, along with 15 specialized vehicles, have been deployed to assist in firefighting efforts. Complementing the ground crew, Romania has also dispatched a Black Hawk helicopter to aid in aerial suppression. The helicopter has already arrived in Serbia and is being integrated into the ongoing emergency response. This assistance demonstrates a rapid and collaborative response to the escalating crisis impacting Serbia’s vegetation. The Department for Emergency Situations confirmed the deployment and coordination of resources. This collaborative effort aims to help contain and extinguish the devastating blazes.
