Romania is launching a new digital platform, E-SanatateaMea, on September 1st, aiming to streamline doctor appointments for patients. According to Horațiu Moldovan, president of the National Health Insurance House, the platform will eliminate the need for patients to rely on word-of-mouth referrals to find specialists. E-SanatateaMea will provide a centralized location for patients to view all contracted healthcare providers. This initiative seeks to improve access to healthcare services and modernize the Romanian healthcare system. The platform enables online booking of appointments with specialists, increasing convenience for patients. The goal is to reduce reliance on informal networks and offer a more transparent and efficient process.
