Romanian interim Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Țoiu has accused Russia of endangering civilian navigation in the Black Sea. This accusation follows attacks on four commercial vessels in the last 24 hours, resulting in eight deaths according to the minister. The incidents occurred, in part, within the territorial waters and exclusive economic zone of Romania, prompting search and rescue operations for missing sailors. Țoiu stated that the killing of sailors on commercial ships constitutes a crime, placing full responsibility on Russia. A North Atlantic Council meeting will be convened in the coming days to discuss the escalating situation in the Black Sea. The Romanian authorities are continuing efforts to locate any remaining missing crew members from the targeted vessels.
