Stará Osada, located in the heart of Brno's Židenice district, currently serves as a critical transit hub for trams, trolleybuses, and regional buses. Despite its importance for transportation, the area is perceived negatively by residents and commuters who avoid spending time there. The location is heavily burdened by intense automotive traffic, including a nearby high-traffic four-lane road used by tens of thousands of cars daily. Consequently, the site has become a functional but unattractive space that people only pass through. To address these issues, the city is planning significant structural changes to the area. These modifications aim to heal the "deep scars" left by urban development and traffic. The project will transform the same location from a mere transit point into a genuine community center.
