The case involving wrestler Oumar Kane, known as “Reug Reug,” has taken a new turn with the arrest of a fourth suspect, Amady Diop, a 41-year-old real estate agent. Diop was arrested on September 29th in Bambilor and is suspected of criminal association, attempted fraud, and possession of materials for counterfeiting currency. The arrest follows an investigation into WhatsApp voice exchanges suggesting a deal involving counterfeit banknotes, referred to as “black bills.” The conversations between Diop and another individual, Baye A., reportedly discussed the purchase of fake $100 USD bills totaling a nominal value of ten billion dollars, with a proposed transaction price of ten million CFA francs. Diop expressed interest, pending funds from Diégane Faye, alias “Saltigué.” Investigators are also examining a voice message from Faye, passed on by Diop, where Faye claims a “technician” verified the bills as legitimate, paving the way for the full delivery.
