The National Museum of Nature opened the renovated Mikuláštík Estate in Jasenná, Zlín Region, on Thursday. The estate, dating back to 1748, is a remarkably well-preserved example of its kind in Eastern Moravia and is designated as a national cultural monument. Built by village headman Jiří Mikuláštík, the two-story wooden building with a gallery showcases traditional life in the Valašsko region. Notably, the structure has remained largely unchanged since its original construction. The museum’s exhibit was developed in collaboration with local residents who shared their memories, ensuring an authentic portrayal of the past. The opening provides visitors with a unique insight into the lives of outlaws and carriers who once frequented the area.
