Residents evacuated due to a landslide and flooding in Kåfjord, Northern Norway, are now permitted to return home, according to local emergency officials. The evacuation was ordered early Wednesday morning following the landslide in Indre Nordnes. Authorities are currently clearing a local road leading to the affected homes to ensure safe access. Earlier today, the E6 highway in the area was temporarily closed while traffic officials assessed conditions near the river. A total of seven people were evacuated – six residents and one individual staying in a holiday home. The all-clear was given after assessments determined the area was stable enough for residents to return.
