The fourth iteration of the Imperial–AIMS Global Fellows Programme concluded in Ghana, focusing on mitigating the impact of extreme heat in urban environments. Forty doctoral researchers from Imperial College London, AIMS Ghana, the University of Ghana, and the University of Health and Allied Sciences participated in the five-day intensive program. The initiative fostered interdisciplinary collaboration to develop innovative climate resilience strategies. Researchers explored solutions to address the increasing threat of extreme heat in cities globally. The program, a partnership between AIMS Ghana and Imperial College London’s ECRI, aims to equip future leaders with the tools to tackle climate challenges. This year’s edition, GFP 2026, emphasized practical application and collaborative problem-solving.
