New trains will begin operating on the main lines of the Ústí Region starting in December. Passengers were given the opportunity to test the new rolling stock for free today. Two of these trains will be deployed on the route between Děčín and Kadaň starting July 1. Private operator RegioJet invested approximately four billion crowns to acquire 23 units. The company has secured the contract to provide transport services on the region's main lines for the next 15 years. Additionally, the regional government will pay over 11 billion crowns to the operator for the actual operation of the trains. This investment marks a significant modernization of the local rail infrastructure.
