An extraordinary celestial event unfolded in northeast China in early October. A vibrant red aurora borealis was visible above Jiajin County, Heilongjiang Province, repeatedly crossed by bright meteors throughout the night. The spectacle was further enhanced by the calm waters of the Heilongjiang River, known as the Amur in Europe, which reflected the colorful aurora, stars, and meteor trails. Jiajin, located in the north of the province, is known for its minimal light pollution, making it an ideal location for stargazing. This rare conjunction provided a breathtaking display for those observing the night sky. The combination of the aurora and meteor shower created a uniquely beautiful and memorable experience.
