Two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of four family members, including retired teacher Ganapati Chakraborty, in Rangpur have tested negative for drug use. The results of the dope tests for Mofaddal Das and Siddhartha Das were confirmed by Rangpur Metropolitan DB Police Deputy Commissioner Sanatan Chakraborty on Monday. The tests revealed no evidence of narcotics consumption by either suspect. This development comes as investigators continue to probe the motive behind the shocking killings. Police are pursuing further leads to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident and establish a clear connection between the suspects and the crime. The negative drug test results add a new layer to the investigation, potentially shifting focus away from drug-induced psychosis as a factor. Authorities are committed to bringing those responsible for the murders to justice.
