Ramiro Valdés, a pivotal figure in the Cuban Revolution, has passed away at the age of 94. The announcement was made by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel. Valdés was known as a close and trusted collaborator of brothers Fidel and Raúl Castro. Together, they played leading roles in the revolutionary movement that transformed the nation. This struggle culminated in 1959 with the successful overthrow of dictator Fulgencio Batista. His death marks the loss of one of the last remaining key figures from that era.
