A dispute has emerged between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Ten-Party Alliance for Pakistan (TTAP) regarding the planning of a demonstration outside Adiala Jail, where PTI founder Imran Khan is imprisoned. PTI leaders initially claimed they received no prior notice from TTAP’s Mahmood Khan Achakzai about a planned gathering of 10,000 supporters. Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, stated Achakzai proposed the protest with a set timeframe, but PTI’s parliamentary leader, Shahid Khattak, denied any such arrangement was communicated to them. The TTAP spokesperson refuted these claims, asserting that PTI leaders repeatedly requested Achakzai to announce a date and time for a protest to facilitate mobilization. According to the TTAP, a proposal was made to Aleema Khan, who reportedly agreed to the demonstration at a specific time. The disagreement centers on whether PTI was adequately informed and given the opportunity to organize support for the planned event.
