Five young men protested at the Farmgate মেট্রোরেল Station in Dhaka this morning by wearing shorts. The demonstration occurred around seven in the morning and was in response to an incident on September 27th. On that date, an athletics coach named Sajjad হোসেন was allegedly harassed by police at the same station. The harassment occurred after he attempted to board the মেট্রোরেল wearing a t-shirt and shorts. The young men’s protest at the ফার্মগেট station was a direct response to this alleged abuse of power. They aimed to raise awareness about the incident and challenge what they see as unreasonable restrictions on attire. The protest was peaceful in nature, with the group wearing shorts to mirror the coach's clothing on the day of the incident.
