Rescue efforts continue in the Krč district of Prague after a semi-trailer carrying a drilling rig became lodged under a railway bridge on Vienna Street on Thursday night. Firefighters have been working since morning with heavy machinery, but all attempts to free the vehicle have failed so far. Initially, a special tank was deployed, but it malfunctioned, prompting requests for additional assistance. A second tank arrived from Zbiroh, but was unable to dislodge the truck. Another tank is currently en route from Přerov near Olomouc. While awaiting its arrival, firefighters are dismantling part of the bridge structure around the trapped vehicle to create more space.
