The city of Prague must re-evaluate bids for the renovation of the New Palm Centre to house the European Union Space Programme Agency (EUSPA). This follows a binding ruling by the head of the Czech Anti-Monopoly Office (ÚOHS), Petr Mlsna, which overturned the exclusion of the company Porr from the tendering process. The original decision to disqualify Porr has been deemed invalid, necessitating a fresh assessment of all submitted offers. This means the schedule for selecting a contractor and commencing the renovation may be delayed. The New Palm Centre is slated to become the new home for EUSPA, a significant project for the Czech Republic. The ÚOHS decision aims to ensure fair competition in the public procurement process. Prague authorities are now preparing to comply with the ruling and restart the evaluation.
