Prague 10 has announced plans for a comprehensive revitalization of Svatopluk Čech Square in the Vršovice district. The project follows an architectural and landscape competition, with studio ra15’s design selected as the winner from among 21 submissions. The proposed redesign aims to improve the square’s clarity and connectivity with the surrounding area. The city district estimates the project cost at 300 million Czech crowns, excluding VAT, which translates to approximately $13 million USD. Details of the winning design were presented to the public, outlining the planned improvements to the public space. The revitalization is intended to enhance the square as a community hub and improve pedestrian flow. Further stages of planning and approval are expected before construction begins.
