Residents of Koyra, Khulna, Bangladesh, frustrated with prolonged and severe power outages, vandalized a zonal office of the Rural Electrification Association on Thursday morning. The outages, lasting from 8 AM to 5 PM daily, have caused significant public discontent. Following the vandalism, local electricity workers detained a young man, identified as Rabiul Islam, and handed him over to police. Witnesses reported the man was initially tied to a utility pole before being turned over to authorities. Police are investigating the incident amid ongoing complaints about the unreliable electricity supply in Koyra Upazila. The situation highlights growing public frustration with infrastructure issues and service disruptions in the region.
