Portuguese swimmers competed today in the three-kilometer sprint event during the fourth stage of the Open Water World Cup. The competition took place in Setúbal, Portugal. Unfortunately, none of the national athletes managed to progress beyond the qualifying heats. Among the Portuguese participants, Mariana Mendes achieved the highest ranking. The event served as a critical stage of the global World Cup circuit. Despite the home-field advantage, the local swimmers were unable to secure a spot in the finals. The results highlight the competitive nature of the international sprint field.
