Pope Leo XVI has appointed new apostolic administrators for the archdioceses of Beira and Quelimane in Mozambique. Bishop António Manuel Bogaio Constantino of Caia will lead the Apostolic Administration of Beira, while Bishop Estêvão Ângelo Fernando of Alto Molócuè will oversee the Diocese of Quelimane. The appointments follow the recent assassination of Bishop Osório Citorra, who previously held both positions. The move is part of a broader pastoral reorganization of the two ecclesiastical circumscriptions. The new administrators will ensure continuity in both pastoral and administrative functions. They will serve until permanent bishops are appointed by the Pope. The Episcopal Conference of Mozambique announced the nominations.
