A recent IBRiS poll conducted for Radio Zet indicates that a majority of Polish respondents oppose Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. The survey, carried out in mid-June with a representative sample of 1,068 individuals, found 59.7% against Ukraine joining the EU. Support for Ukraine’s EU membership stands at 35.3%, while 5% of respondents expressed no opinion. The poll highlights a significant division within Polish public sentiment regarding Ukraine’s future within the European bloc. These findings offer insight into Polish perspectives as Ukraine continues its efforts toward European integration amid ongoing conflict. The results suggest potential challenges for further discussions surrounding Ukraine’s EU candidacy. Further analysis of the data may reveal demographic factors influencing these attitudes.
