A new poll conducted by IBRiS for “Rzeczpospolita” reveals that a majority of Poles do not favor reinstating compulsory military service, known as the draft. However, strong support exists for mandatory military training for both men and women. The survey highlights a clear distinction in public perception between a full return to conscription and broader defense preparedness initiatives. While the idea of a draft doesn't resonate, citizens generally agree on the importance of equipping the population with basic military skills.
