President Karol Nawrocki has officially revoked the Order of the White Eagle from President Volodymyr Zelensky. During a visit to Grabówka, Nawrocki stated that Poland's "pain threshold" regarding its allies had been exceeded. This decision follows the naming of a Ukrainian military unit after "UPA heroes." The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) is associated with historical atrocities against Poles. Nawrocki emphasized that Poland is a proud nation that must protect its own dignity. The move signals a significant diplomatic tension between Warsaw and Kyiv. The president framed the action as a necessary response to the glorification of controversial historical figures.
