Robert Bąkiewicz and members of the Border Defense Movement attempted to hold a procession in Berlin. The group intended to carry a wooden cross to a local memorial site. However, the demonstration had not been officially registered with the authorities. Local police issued warnings and explicitly forbade the use of banners and the cross. Despite these orders, the group proceeded with their march. This defiance led to a physical confrontation between the protesters and law enforcement. Consequently, several participants were handcuffed and detained by the police.
