Poland’s Government Security Centre (RCB) issued a nationwide alert on Friday, advising citizens to “be prepared,” accompanied by a link to a digital security guide. The message, sent via SMS and posted on social media, was intended to promote public safety awareness. However, the included link proved to be non-functional, leaving citizens unable to access the promised resources. The alert originated from the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA). This technical glitch raised concerns about the effectiveness of the alert system and prompted questions regarding quality control. Authorities have not yet released a statement explaining the issue or providing a corrected link. The incident highlights the importance of testing communication infrastructure before deploying nationwide emergency messages.
