Poland is considering stricter penalties for drivers who violate court-ordered driving bans. Despite a 16% decrease in such offenses this year, police still apprehend approximately 40 drivers daily who are operating vehicles despite having prohibitions in place. The Prosecutor General issued guidelines in March to address the issue, but further action is being contemplated. Justice Minister and Prosecutor General Waldemar Żurek is discussing potential changes, including the possibility of imprisonment for repeat offenders. The aim is to deter drivers from disregarding judicial rulings and improve road safety. Details of the proposed reforms will be discussed in an interview with RMF FM.
