Seventeen individuals, including a couple, were officially granted Papua New Guinea (PNG) citizenship at a ceremony in Port Moresby. The couple received their citizenship certificates after a remarkable ten-year wait for naturalization. The presentation was conducted by the Immigration and Citizenship Services Authority (ICSA) at the Hilton Hotel. This event marks the culmination of a lengthy process for these new citizens. Details of the other sixteen recipients were not immediately available. Access to the full report requires a subscription to the Post Courier. The ceremony represents PNG’s welcoming of new members into its national community.
