Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to the development of all provinces during a session of the National Assembly. His remarks followed the proposal of the FY27 federal budget and addressed criticisms from Opposition Leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai. Achakzai had specifically raised concerns regarding the country's law and order situation and the freezing of provincial development allocations. In response, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of financial and social justice for national stability. He highlighted specific initiatives in Balochistan, including the Reko Diq project and the 2010 National Finance Commission Award. Additionally, he cited the distribution of solar panels to farmers and the construction of a road from Chaman to Gwadar as evidence of federal support. PM Shehbaz concluded that it is his responsibility to ensure all four provinces progress at an equal pace.
