PKR Vice President Roland Engan has refuted claims that the opposition coalition’s (PH) manifesto for Johor is a mere copy of promises previously made by the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Engan dismissed the allegations as unfounded, asserting the manifesto was developed based on feedback received directly from the people of Johor. He specifically rejected the characterization of the manifesto as “ciplak,” a colloquial term for plagiarism. This response addresses concerns raised regarding the originality of the PH’s platform in the lead-up to regional elections. The manifesto aims to address key issues and concerns expressed by Johor residents. Engan’s statement seeks to differentiate PH's approach as one rooted in genuine public engagement, rather than replicating existing pledges. The denial is intended to bolster public trust and highlight the coalition's commitment to representing the interests of Johor voters.
