The sale of three holiday parks previously owned by Peter Gillis, which were auctioned last week, is now final. Auctioneer Richard Dieteren confirmed to Omroep Brabant that the bidders have been vetted with no issues identified. The parks – Prinsenmeer in Ommel, Brugse Heide in Valkenswaard, and Stadsresort Valkenburg – were forcibly auctioned due to Gillis’s outstanding debt of over €27 million to businessman Marc van Rooi. Van Rooi, through his company M2R Invest, provided a loan secured against the three parks. The sale generated a total of €27.3 million; however, this does not fully resolve Gillis’s financial obligations, as auction costs and additional tax debts remain. The parks must be transferred to the new owners within six weeks, though their identities and future plans for the parks are currently unknown, with speculation that Prinsenmeer may be redeveloped for a different purpose, threatening the chalets of current owners. Prinsenmeer is where Gillis started his business and gained national fame through the reality show *Massa is Kassa*, but more recently he has faced scrutiny for tax fraud, domestic violence, and financial difficulties.
