The Peruvian Volleyball Federation (FPV) announced it will introduce an instant replay system, known as “video challenge,” to its Liga Peruana de Vóley starting with the 2026/27 season’s first phase. FPV President Gino Vegas stated the organization will invest in purchasing its own technology to facilitate this implementation. This move aims to enhance fairness and accuracy in officiating during matches. The system will allow teams to challenge calls made by referees, providing a visual review of disputed plays. The FPV’s decision signifies a modernization effort for the league, bringing it in line with international volleyball standards. The investment demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality and integrity of the competition. This technology will be available from the beginning of the next season, ensuring consistent application throughout the league.
