Peruvian artist Hugo Salazar Chuquimango debuted his exhibition, “Diagnosis of a Dreamer,” on August 20th at Casa Rubens Cultural Space. The show features 23 previously unseen works encompassing paintings, drawings, and mixed media pieces. The exhibition creates a conversation between Salazar Chuquimango’s early work from age 23 and his more recent creations. A defining characteristic of his current art is a symbolic, mystical, and existential perspective.
